Abstract

Abstract. In the era of digitalization, the development of the tourism industry is determined by the development of special information space that connects the participants in tourism relations, regardless of various factors. One of the most important and basic tools that forms the information space of a particular destination is the tourist information center. The article explores the activities of the tourist information center in the context of the promotion and development of tourism in the Primorsky Territory. The purpose of the work is a quantitative assessment of the activities of the tourist information center as a resource for the tourism development in modern conditions (on the example of Primorsky Krai). The elements of the scientific novelty of the article include the proposed methodology for analyzing the activities of tourist informa-
tion centers in the interregional aspect to assess the effectiveness of their activities as a resource for tourism development in modern conditions. This technique allows to assess the achievement of the final goal of tourist information centers to promote the region in the Russian and international tourism market. The analysis showed that the comprehensive and effective activity of the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai not only led to an increase in the gross indicator of the volume of services provided by travel agencies, tour operators, as well as services of collective accommodation facilities, but also increased their share in the overall structure of provided services.
